MIB Smithy 1.2 Release

December 12th, 2002 by Muonics, Inc.

Version 1.2 of MIB Smithy is patch-level release containing a number of bug fixes for version 1.1. Significant changes are listed below. Please contact technical support if you have any questions or difficulties with the new version.

Significant Changes:

  • Added MIBs from RFCs 2571, 2572, 2573, 2574 and 2575 to samples directory.
  • A typographical error in a part of the parser that checks for duplicate conformance module names in AGENT-CAPABILITIES/MODULE-COMPLIANCEs statements (which cannot be indexed unambiguously) could cause the parse error to occur in statements that reference multiple modules even if the modules have different names.
  • Fixed problem in syntax workspace page where ranges/sizes were not displayed properly in cases where a single value was given for a subset of the size/range. (e.g. DateAndTime).
  • Notification Workspace was missing Status and Reference properties. These have been added.
  • Misc. cosmetic changes for UI consistency. Notification Workspace’s description page is now labeled “Description” instead of “Descr”.
  • “Reference” label in Notification Group’s workspace now labeled as “Optional” and “Description” now labeled as “Required”.
  • Internal OID index could become stale after modifying the IMPORTS list for a MIB module if an imported OID value was updated to import from a different module than previously listed (although this would only affect OID validation).
  • Corrected geometry manager conflicts that could lead to hangs, and may be responsible for the “graphic noise” that would sometimes occur in notebook page backgrounds after a window resize. Please contact support if you still experience the “graphic noise” problem.
  • Left/right tab scrolling buttons, which appear in the notebook GUI components if there are more tabs than can fit in the window, should now behave properly. Raising a page via the “Window” menu will now make the tab visible, where previously the page contents would be raised but the tab might be left off-screen.
