Thank you for your interest in our software. We have several ordering and payment options to choose from depending on your needs. Please review the following information on ordering procedures and our order fulfillment process. Licensing and Support

All of our current software products include 90 days of unlimited technical support and one year of updates and upgrades at no additional charge, which you can download using your web site account. You may renew in one to three year intervals to continue receiving new versions at the renewal price (typically 25% of list price). We can accept orders for renewal by Purchase Order or online through the License Manager.

Our software products require a license key, which you can download from your account. If you've tried any of our software evaluations, the process of installing the license key should be familiar, but the key is downloaded from your account's License Manager, rather than the software download page. Please note that the license keys cannot be used to activate full version features in the evaluation version of the software due to differences in the builds. After purchasing, you will need to use your account to download the full version, preferrably after uninstalling the evaluation.

We do not currently offer site licensing. We do have a floating license system under development. We're not ready to announce a release date for it yet, but you can contact sales if you'd like to be notified when it becomes available.

Volume and Reseller Discounts

We offer volume discounts on some of our products. We use a tiered discount pricing system, where the first license(s) purchased are at normal price, and additional licenses are at a reduced price, such that you pay the same amount whether you buy one license at a time or all of them at once. Only licenses with current support periods are considered in determining which tier you qualify for.

Muonics, Inc. handles direct software sales worldwide and does not currently employ any official resellers or distributors. Some of our customers have vendors they go through for all of their purchasing needs, and we are happy to work with them. We offer a standard Reseller and VAR discounts, and resellers may contact sales for more details. Some resellers our clients use include:

Discounts for Educational Use

We have discounts of 50 - 100% available to students, staff, and faculty of US educational institutions. These discounted licenses come with the same support terms as non-educational licenses, but we will extend support as long as you continue to be eligible.

You will need to provide proof of eligibility, such as a student or faculity ID card or proof of enrollment in relevant coursework, and create an account if you haven't already. Depending on eligibility, we will add the requisite permissions or discount rate to your account.

Delivery Methods

All orders include Electronic Software Delivery, meaning we make the full licensed version of the software available to you for download from the Muonics web site, using an account that you create. Most of our customers opt to receive software only electronically. Electronic Delivery is fast, convenient, and California Law considers non-custom software licensed and delivered solely by electronic means to be exempt from sales tax.

We can provide CD-ROM media if requested in a purchase order. Additional shipping and media charges apply, typically around $10 for domestic orders with UPS Ground Shipping. Sales tax also applies for sales with shipment to destinations within California, except when the order is from a reseller or exempt entity. Please allow an additional 2-3 days after your account permissions are set up for CDs to ship. Since we usually release new software versions more frequently than we receive CD requests, and we want you have the best version available, we do not keep ready-to-ship CDs in stock.

We are not able to accept CD-ROM orders online at this time.

Before Ordering

If you have not done so already, please create an account on our web site. If you are a purchasing agent or reseller, please have the end user or licensee create an account instead. Whether you are purchasing software to be delivered electronically or CD, ordering online or by purchase order, an account is required to download software updates and the license key required to use the software. If you prefer, you can purchase licenses for multiple users under a single account and we can reassign permissions to individual accounts.

When purchasing online, our systems will require you log into your account before ordering. When submitting a purchase order, we will not be able to fulfill the order until there is an account for us to attach the necessary download permissions to. For security reasons, we cannot create the account on your behalf.

Purchasing Online

To purchase software online, a secure connection (SSL) is required. Select the product, platform, and quantity desired from the Products Page (or the License Manager page for support renewals).

After you have selected the items you wish to purchase, use the "Checkout" button to enter your shipment, billing, and payment details. If you have not yet logged on, you will be required to do so before proceeding. You will be given an opportunity to check over your order before submitting it for credit card authorization.

A charge decline or approval response is typically received within a few seconds. If your order is approved, your account will be granted access to download the software and license key immediately.

For your protection, we do not accept online orders exceeding $6000, and we personally review every online order for possible errors or suspicious activity. We will take any actions necessary to rectify any problems. We also utilize various address verification and fraud detection features provided by Authorize.Net, our credit card processing gateway.

Purchase Orders

We can accept Purchase Orders to buy our software. Our preference is for purchase orders to be submitted in PDF format to sales@muonics.com or by fax to +1 (831) 427-0769. Please be sure to create an account and include the user name or email address associated with the account on your purchase order. Failure to do so may delay your order.

Standard terms for payment are 30 days from invoice date, and we can accept payment by check, wire transfer, or credit card. A 1.5% monthly finance charge may be assessed and download permissions suspended on payments that are past due more than 30 days. We reserve the right to issue provisional (temporary) license keys, which we will make permanent once payment is received.

To further expedite your order, you may request a faxed or emailed quote online using the shopping cart so we can get your contact information and pending order into our system ahead of time. Select the product, platform and quantity desired from the Products Page (or the License Manager page for support renewals) as if to purchase online and use the "Get Quote" button. If you are already logged in, the form will be pre-filled with the information from your profile.
